Walking Stick Carving
This 4 hour workshop will cover the steps needed to make your own walking stick that you can take with you for your next wilderness adventure! The workshop will start with a discussion on knives, safety and efficient use. This will be followed by using the tools to carve and customize and finish your own walking stick.
Additional Info:
- This class will require fine motor skills, control and attention so is typically geared for children 7 and up. However you know your own child best so the class is open to all ages.
- If participants have their own sharp fixed blade (non-folding) knife they are welcome to use it, otherwise all tools and materials are provided.
- Children under the age of 7 will require parent supervision, children 7 and up are also welcome to have a parent present if desired.
- Class will be rescheduled in the case of wet weather, as the sticks will need to be dry before bringing them home. Refunds would be given if participants cannot make the rescheduled class.
- Registration will be closed a few days before the workshop date
