Snow Shelters (Carburn Park)

Winter is a time of opportunity and challenge! This class will focus on building effective and safe shelter using snow. The class will cover traditional and Indigenous snow shelters and why they are effective before doing the work and building our own. 

What to Bring:

Appropriate winter clothing (dress for colder than what the forecast calls for)

Snacks and plenty to drink

Additional Info: 

Kaykima requires 48 hours notice to cancel in order to get a full refund, anything outside that may result in class credit being issued.

If temps are -20c or lower or if there are weather warnings a class may be rescheduled

Parents and siblings 5 and under are free

Parents are welcome to drop off or stay

We will meet at the main fire pit by the parking lot.
