Bow Drill Basics

The bow drill and its variations have been used by Indigenous groups worldwide. In this class we will touch on some different primitive methods of fire starting and the advantages and disadvantages of each. The remainder of the class will cover the Bow Drill method: from understanding the components to hands on practice! 

Please note: Bow Drill is often a skill that needs time and patience to be successful at. This can be a challenging but rewarding skill to learn however, like any worthwhile skill, failure is usually included on the path to success.
