Join Kaykima for an afternoon of Bushcraft skills in beautiful Kananaskis! The workshop will cover Bushcraft Torch Making using all natural materials. This class will also incudle knife safety and use. The second half of the class will be focused on Charcloth Firecraft. Participants will learn how to make and use their own charcloth that they can take home with them for their next fire!
In the event of a fire ban the class will be Spoon/Utensil Carving
What to Bring:
- weather appropriate clothing
- you own fixed blade (non-folding) if you want (otherwise all tools and materials are provided)
- sturdy, closed toe footwear
- bug stuff/sunscreen
- plenty to drink and some snacks
- toilet paper (just in case)
Additional Info:
There are no bathrooms on site. Youth will need to use the great outdoors away from the group.
There is a short walk to the teaching site that may not be suited to those with mobility concerns, contact Rob for more details if needed.
In the event of weather warnings or watches the class will be rescheduled. If you cannot make the new date full refunds will be given.
