Natural Dyes and Paints

Explore the world of natural pigments and paints! Plants, trees, berries and fungi can all be used to create surprising colour combinations!  This class will cover the traditional use of natural materials to dye fabric and why colour and fabric was and is so important in cultures around the world. Participants will help prepare the dyes and dye their own fabric with the colours of their choice to take home with them. We will also cover natural paints and participants will be able to bring home the artwork they create. This class is great for all ages.

We will be using dyes that may mark clothing.

We will meet at PICNIC SITE 7 which is by the washrooms. If that site is taken Rob will direct you to another site.

Please dress for the weather.

Class will run rain or shine. If there is a weather warning or watch class will be rescheduled. If participants cannot make the new class refunds will be given.
