Since the beginning of human history fire has played a critical role in most aspects of our lives, from meeting our basic physical needs to our spiritual ones. This workshop will cover the importance of fire, modern and traditional methods of ignition, proper tinder gathering, the science behind fire and will end with hands on practice using alternative fire starting methods.

Please dress for the weather and bring snacks/drinks as needed. Please ensure your child has sturdy footwear.
This is a parented event. Children ages 5 and under are free with a paying participant.
Class will be rain or shine and would be rescheduled if there is a weather watch or warning. If participants cannot make the rescheduled class a full refund will be issued.
If you cannot make the class Kaykima requires 24 hours notice in order for you to be refunded. Registration will be closed 24 hours before the start of class.
