Description

Join Kaykima for a foraging walk in the woods!

Whether you find yourself in a survival situation or are just going for a hike knowing where to find food and useful materials while in the woods is an important skill. Participants will learn about the traditional uses of local plants and trees as well as how to identify other useful plants that would be a support in both wilderness survival and wilderness living settings. This class will also cover some common toxic plants and fungi that could be found in the province.

Participants are also welcome to bring their own mushroom specimens or photos in for group identification.
